Dance Legend - Sahara Top Coat review

Hi guys!  Today I have a swatch and review of the Dance Legend Sahara Top Coat.  This is a topcoat that you can apply over any base colour to turn it in to a glittery texture.  I bought my bottle from Rainbow Connection, but you can order directly from their site, as well as many other stockists that are listed on the website.  They are a Russian brand though, so if you order directly, shipping will be a long time........

I started by doing a gradient of Color Club - Raspberry Rush & Mrs Robinson, and Barry M Guava and added a coat of HK Girl.  Then I gave that an hour or 2 to dry, and applied the Dance Legend.  After a conversation with the lovely Emma from Emma's Little Corner, we thought that maybe it needed to be applied over a dry base, as when she applied it over a fresh mani, she wasn't exactly impressed :) I will be investigating that later on in the week, but for this review I decided to air on the side of caution.
The photos above and below show just 1 coat of Sahara.  Once dry, it did feel textured, and had a fair bit of sparkle to it.
I decided to add a second coat of Sahara though - it was looking quite good at 1, but I love me some textured sparkle, so I wanted more.
Oh yeah, that's more like it!  The texture on this is quite fine, I would say it's comparable to Zoya - Carter.  (my only Pixie Dust)
The sparkle on this is good, and I saw little flashes of colours from the glitter now and then too.
Overall I am very impressed with this top coat.  It does what it's supposed to, and it looked good over all the colours in this gradient IMO. Then there's the sheer amount of possibilities it opens up too, I have so many different things I want to try it over.  I'll be putting together a post soon where I will be testing it over glitters, shimmers, foils, holos, duochromes, neons, and anything else I can think of, so look out for that.

What do you guys think?  Do you need it, or maybe you already have it? If so, how did you find it?

  2. I hadn't heard of this one until you hauled it, it does look amazing and how you used it hear is something you couldn't do even if you owned various textures.
