The Neverending Pile Challenge is here!

Hi guys, how has your Monday been? Today sees the start of a brand-spanking new challenge, being hosted by the fabulous Missy from Gnarly Gnails - The Neverending Pile Challenge.  This is an extremely laid back challenge, as the point of it is just to use all the unloved, untried polishes we all can't seem to stop buying! Everybody's welcome to drop in and out as they can, and you don't have to do nail art either, it can be just a straight-up swatch if that's what you want to do.  If you'd like to join in too, you can do so by requesting to join the Facebook group, The Glittah Pirates.

So, I am going to do every prompt I have at least one suitable untried for, and I'm going to include polishes that have been worn, but never blogged about, as I have quite a lot of those too!  For instance, I have worn Zoya - Aurora at least 3 times now, but never shown any photos on the blog, as I was struggling to pick up the holo glitter on camera, so my photos didn't even come close to doing it justice!  Don't fear though, I'm pretty sure I've figured it out now.
The first prompt is Glitter, and amazingly, all 3 of the polishes I used in this mani were untried! Don't get used to it though, I will be using a lot of trieds bundled in with the untrieds, as I don't have that many in my pile, I just never seem to use them!  (Actually, I just counted, and I have 73, not counting un-blogged polishes, or the 8 I've used for the first few prompts of this challenge, so not a lot right?)
So, the base for this is Maxfactor Mini Effect - Graffiti, a gorgeous teal that's packed with shimmer.  It took 3 coats on my lengthy talons, but it was so worth it, this is probably my new favourite teal!  I shall have to swatch it alone for you guys at some point.  The glitter is LaFemme - Ocean.  I'm wearing 2 coats here, as it is a little sparser than I like, but then again, I do like my glitters to be almost full coverage.  For under £1.50 you won't hear me complaining though!  Then I stamped some swirls from MoYou Mother Nature 01 and NYC - Full Metal Jacket.  I knew this polish would stamp well, but I didn't expect it to be so pretty!  No doubt this will be my go-to gold stamper from now on.
So, that's 3 down!  This is also the last mani you'll see with my nails this length and fully intact.  They're still long in Wednesday's post, but I broke a corner off before I could get photos :(  After Wednesday I will be back to the shorter length from yesterdays post. That's okay though, I kind of like the new length.
As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this mani, and don't forget to check out all the other gorgeous ladies participating in the thumbnails below.

  1. I have La Femme - Ocean... my mum gave me a bunch of polishes yesterday... 5 La Femme's. Haven't swatched them on a swatchstick yet, so was nice to see you wear it. It looks lovely!

    1. Oooh, lovely! Which other ones did you get? I own quite a lot of them, and I think they're a great brand. There's a few of their pastel creams that have amazing formulas, they even stamp over black :) xx

    2. Names and numbers are a bit hard to read on the darker colours, but I got: Ocean, Fuschia (purple bar glitter topper), Wild Violet, Flame Red and Mint Cream. I already had 4 neon La Femme's that I bought last summer, but those are rather sheer.

    3. yes, definitely put them on your spreadsheet straight away if you have one, as the names will also rub off lol :) Fuschia is really sparkly, quite nice for bar glitter, which I'm not keen on usually. If you can find Carnival anywhere, you must buy it. Purple, gold and aqua hexes, so pretty! Out of the creams, Silverado, Ice Blue Cream and Lilac Cream all stamp really well over dark colours xxx
