A-Z of Polish - J is for...........Jealous Jupiter

Hi guys, sorry I didn't manage to get this post up yesterday, these early starts are killing me!  Luckily I only have to work a 6am-6pm tomorrow, then I'm free for 3 blissful days :D  Anyway, we've come to another week of the A-Z of Polish, and this week is the letter J........

Now, according to my spreadsheet, I only owned two polishes starting with the letter J, one of which I currently have on my toes, and the other is one that I'd frankened with.  :/  I don't really like my fingers and toes to match - I mean why wear one colour when you can wear 2? So that left me with LaFemme - Jupiter, which was originally a boring plain red glitter topper.  However, after seeing this gorgeous Tara's Talons polish on SpecialGirl Nails, I decided to add some black to the base and rechristen it "Jealous Jupiter" :D

So for this mani I used 1 coat of Sinful Colors - Black on Black, and 3 coats of JJ, then stamped with Gallery Silver Sea and this really cool baroque skull/star image from MoYou Punk 04.  (Totally in love with these plates by the way!)  The accent nail is a base of black on black, with a stamping decal made with Silver Sea, Moyra 67*, and MoYou Biker 08.  I actually screwed up big time when applying this - I tried to use my stamper to stick it to my tacky nail, but forgot that it only works with a squishy stamper!  When I pulled the stamper off the decal was still on it, and a whole bunch of my black base came away too :(  I'm a stubborn cow though, so I didn't give up - I managed to peel it off the stamper and stick it in roughly the right place, and once I'd top coated you would never have known there was a whacking great bald patch there :D  There's a few bubbles which may have been a result of that, but as far as me and decals go, this was a really successful attempt.

Once it was all dry I mattified with the Model's Own matte top coat.
So, there was no doubt in my mind that I'd love this mani, but I don't think I could dislike any mani using this image - I think it's become my very favourite image out of all of my plates already!
This whole mani is so "me", and it also works really well for a Friday post since it's time for another Free Friday Mosh.


So, first up is Alice in Chains - Stone.  I'm so glad these guys found a new vocalist and got back together.  Layne Staley really is irreplaceable, so those are some big shoes to fill, but William DuVall is doing a really awesome job. He's got a great voice, and it doesn't hurt that he's a bit of a hottie too!  (although if you put him in some glasses and trimmed his afro a little bit, I think he might look like Moss from The IT Crowd)
I really love this song - in fact when checking out the sound on the video, I may have got a little sidetracked, dancing with my PC chair. (as you do :p)

And for something a bit heavier, we have my very favourite Chimaira song - Down Again.  This is another song that always gets me up and moving, but with this song I just tend to jump around until my boobs hurt. :D
