Nail-Art-A-Go-Go - Day 22 - Surrealism

Hi guys, sorry today's post is a bit late, time has just got away from me today :)  Anyway, we are entering the last week of the challenge, and this is the hardest week of prompts - art movements.  The prompt for today is Surrealism, and instead of trying to recreate some painting, or something else I would probably suck at, I decided to go in a totally different direction..............

Let's talk about the mani first, then I'll explain what it is, and how it relates to the prompt near the end.  This was a really simple design to do, I literally just painted my nails white, and doodled on them with some neon sharpies.  The spirals were supposed to be a bit jagged, but typically, they got kind of neat near the end.
I would also like to apologise for the awful state of my cuticles here, I'm not sure what made them so dry this day, bluergh!
As you can imagine, this was a really cheerful mani to have on my nails, but it did leave me longing for some sunshine, which is not going to happen.  The colours remind me of ice lollies.
Now, on to what it actually is :D  This mani was inspired by a fabulously odd little show called The Mighty Boosh.  If you've never heard of/seen it, then believe me, it is completely random, and very surreal indeed.  I was inspired by the awesome top hat that the new rave hitcher wears in this song from the show.  I didn't copy the design exactly, just took some general inspiration from it, partly down to the fact that I couldn't find a decent picture of it, but that's okay.
I love this show so much, it always gives me a good laugh, so if you like things that are awesome, I am advising you to check it out ;)
