Fragrance Direct Friday (on Sunday)

Hi gorgeous girls (and guys), how are you?  I'm really sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday like I planned to.  I had a really busy day with work, and just didn't have enough time to get the photos watermarked and the post typed up before falling asleep.  I was shattered last night!   Anyway, I'm back with another instalment of Fragrance Direct Friday, and the polish I have for you today is a real beaut!

This is Rimmel Lycra Pro - Ultra Violet, and is yet another 99p bargain which is still currently available on the site.  I was planning to do a stand-alone swatch for this, but I had Crowstoes - Cheshire sitting on my table begging for an outing, so I added a quick accent nail, and added a teeny tiny bit near the cuticle on my thumb (don't ask me why, I think it looks a bit weird tbh!)

This is shown here at 2 coats, and the formula was nice and easy to work with.  I know I've said it before, but I love the brushes in these polishes.  They're fairly wide, not too long or short, and have a nice rounded tip for getting in near the cuticle.  I am getting used to OPI's wide brush from using Nail Envy in every mani, but I still prefer these any day.  They just work better for my nail shape.

Anyway, that's quite enough rambling from me today!  I will be back tomorrow with Day 7 of the #33DC : D

  1. Cheshire is lovely as well :)
What programme do you use to get your watermark curved? I've tried a couple in the past but can't seem to get away with them.

    1. It is stunning!
I use GIMP : D And I have the python plug in aswell to get the other effects on the text. GIMP is a free programme, and it's pretty easy to use once you get used to it. (plus it makes me laugh whenever I say it) If you can't find a good tutorial for it online, let me know and I'll help. I watched 2 different tutorials on youtube, then just sorta smushed them together! One was for the text effects, and one on how to make it curved. xx

    2. Ahh not GIMP! I don't get on with it, maybe I should try it again. It's been about six months since I last tried using it!

    3. if you get the newest version, I can send you the commands I use in a sort of step by step thing. It is a bit of a finicky programme, but once you're familiar with it it gets so much easier. I think for me it was the layout - it's crammed with buttons everywhere which is pretty confusing at first : D xx
