FingerFood's Theme Buffet - Oriental ( Babymetal inspired corsets)

Hi guys, and welcome to another week of FingerFood's Theme Buffet.  The prompt for today is oriental, and I was a bit stumped on what to do for this at first, as I didn't fancy doing anything too obvious.  Then I remembered a strange-but-cool Japanese band I came across the other week - Babymetal, and decided to base my mani on the style of their stage outfits. :D

I really love this picture, and their dresses are just so cool!  They have lots of different dresses, but always with the red and black combination, so I just drew my inspiration from the colours.
Babymetal are a kawaii (cute) metal band, which is a blend of catchy pop chorus' and heavy metal riffs.  Sounds weird, I know, but it actually kind of works..........

They will be at Sonisphere UK this year too if you're going and fancy checking them out :)

So, this mani was painted using, Rimmel Lycra Pro Heart on Fire and OPI - My Vampire is Buff, as well as black acrylic paint.  I also used NYC - Full Metal Jacket, and Zoya - Blaze for the necklaces.  I'm not going to talk about the technique much today, as I will be posting a tutorial for it on Tuesday, but as I'm sure most of you can tell, it's a combination of freehand and stamping :)
This was the first time I've attempted this style of corset mani, but I was pretty pleased with how they turned out.  Not the tidiest job in the world, but from a normal distance they looked pretty darn good IMHO.
I also have my Instagram account set up now, so if you want to follow me it's @pennypinchingpolish :D

Don't forget to check out the rest of the oriental mani's in the thumbnails below too :)
