Hi guys! Now that I've fully recovered from the NAGG challenge, I will be participating in Finger Food's Theme Buffet once again. The prompt for this week is Dots & Stripes, and while I normally like to do it on Sunday, the prompts are open right up until the next one, so I figured I could still do a mani for this one.
I started out with a base of OPI - Anti-Bleak, then sponged some Nails Inc - New York Noir onto just the tips and top coated. Then I just added a single stripe and little dots either side of it, with Barry M Silver Foil.
Very simple, but also quite effective in my opinion. My dots could be a lot tidier, and more even, but that wasn't noticeable IRL, so I'm not really too fussed.
The last time I used Anti-Bleak, I mattified it, and totally loved the results, so I had to see what this looked like matte too.......
Also nice, but I think, for once, I actually preferred it glossy. Shocker!
What do you guys think of this mani? Am I the only one that thinks it kind of looks like some kind of fastening down the side of my nail?
Don't forget to check out all the other dots & stripes in the thumbnails below :)
Sarah thats an amazing design. Love your take. I like the matte more as design is seen but I m sure in real life gloss would look better 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Anita :) It was easier to see the glossy version IRL xx
