Purple Roses for BEAT (Eating Disorders Awareness Week)

Hi guys!  This week (24th Feb - 2nd March) is Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and one of the lovely ladies from a Facebook group I'm in, Emily, suggested we do purple mani's this week in recognition of the ribbon colour used by BEAT.

So, for such a worthy cause I decided to pull out my favourite purple glitter, Shimmer Polish - Caroline.  I used 2 coats over a base of A-England - Avalon, and then stamped the background to the roses from MoYou Pro 07 with LaFemme - Lilac Cream.
The complexity of Caroline never fails to hold my attention, it's just so gosh darn pretty! I was really happy with how this mani turned out, although I don't think I could ever dislike a mani that included this glitter :)
What do you guys think of this?

If you need any help or support in regards to an eating disorder, would like to help others in some way, or would just like more information or advice about eating disorders, please visit the BEAT website.

If you would like to get involved and do a purple mani of your own, you can find the In-Linkz to add to your blog here.

  2. Oh me likey!

Here's a chuckle...when I 1st saw this on FB I wondered how you painted the roses so well using glitter.
Thanks to you, I'm coming around to the idea that it's ok to stamp over nifty polishes. LOL

    1. Thanks hun! Hehe, I can see how that would be your first thought though :) I think the trick is to make it so that the polish is still the centre of attention, I always look for images that don't seem overbearing if you know what I mean xx

    2. Yep! Images with more open areas than stamped areas will let more of the base polish goodness show thru. I've done 2 stamped manis in a row since the challenge ended...blessed be the high & mighty xl squishy stamper! LOL
