So, based on that little description, I rifled through my stamping plates for something that felt kind of soft, and organic. In the end, I opted for this gorgeous floral/vine design from MoYou Pro 12. I stamped with Barry M - Plum and the base is Headline Colors - Poolside Party.
You may notice that my thumb is a couple of mm shorter than the last time it appeared on the blog. Unfortunately, I snapped a corner clean off it a few days ago, and this was the only mani I had left to do. Lucky for me it's still pretty long, although it felt really stubby when I first took it down.
This was one of the prompts I was really nervous about, but as is usually the case, I liked the results of stepping out of my comfort zone. I really like these colours together, and I think the matte top coat works so well for this design.
So, that's the end of the challenge then! Huge thanks to Missy for organising this, and coming up with the hardest prompts I have ever seen, it was a lot of fun. I have met some wonderful new polish buddies, and discovered some great new blogs, as well as pushing myself to create, what I believe, are some of my best mani's to date. Missy, we love you!
At some point in the next few days, I will do a round-up post with all 28 mani's and links, in case you missed anything :)
In the meantime, don't forget to check out the final mani's from all the other wonderful people taking part!

ReplyDeleteArt Nouveau is one of those styles that I know when I see it, but it's hard to describe specifically due to it including so many mediums. It was so everywhere as a counter point to the very linear Arts & Crafts style. Egad! My art education is coming back to haunt me! Eeeek!!!
Thanks hun! I was pretty worried over this prompt at first. Did all my mani's in advance, but I left this one for ages, so I was really glad I ended up coming up with something I liked :D xx
DeleteThis is so beautiful! I wish I could do that to my nails, you're so talented!
