As you can see, I was a lot more successful this time around. I used Revlon - Cupid as a base, and did the splatter with Color Club - Miss Robinson, and Raspberry Rush. These polishes are both fairly thin, and played well for this mani. I also found it was also a lot easier when I painted the polish straight into the middle of the straw.
I was really happy with this mani, the splatter came out great, and I love the clash of the neons over the light pink base. I think I will be doing quite a few more splatter manis in the future, this was so much fun to do.
That's it from me today, so I will see you guys again tomorrow for the next prompt. In the meantime, go have a look at all the other abstract mani's in the thumbnails below.
Gorgeous! Love this color combo. Splatter always looks so neat on longer nails!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun, me too! :) xx
DeleteI love it Sarah, I haven't tried it yet but I will after seeing yours :)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks hun! It was so much fun, do try it. (Just make sure you put loads of paper down first lol) :) xx
DeleteWe're on the same channel again! I like your colors better! I went with what Pollack used & he liked icky dull colors. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I actually own any dull colours lol. I love abstract prompts though, as they're basically a "do whatever the hell you want" prompt :D xx
DeleteLove the colours! I did a splatter mani once, but the clean-up... ugh. It does look fun though, so perhaps I'll do it again one of these days (most likely it will take me months ;)...)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I did put it off for ages myself, but I taped around all my fingers first, so the clean up was actually pretty easy in the end. :) xx
