Instead of trying to copy some actual graffiti on my nails, and probably failing, I decided to do something that just reminds me of it, and boy, am I glad I did!
For this mani, I really lightly sponged a load of neon's in random spots over a white base. The colours I used were, Color Club - Miss Robinson, BYS - Pink Panic, Pure Ice - Hot Tamale, and Pop Beauty - Radioactive, and Brave. Then I stamped the zig-zaggy image from MoYou Back to the 80's 04 with Konad Black. I top coated very soon after stamping, as I wanted a little bit of smudging to make it look like the paint has run a little bit. I think I left it a little too long though, it didn't smudge as much as I hoped it would.
I adored this mani, and I think this may even be my favourite mani from the entire challenge, but don't hold me to that :p I expected to like this mani a lot more matte, but it turns out I am undecided here. I love it either way.
Don't forget to check out all the other ladies in the thumbnails below, I know I am looking forward to seeing all the other creations :)
Fab design hun! And I seriously love the sponging! xx
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Sam! Neon sponging always makes me happy :D x
DeleteDahling, it's always a good time for neons...I love these nails!!!
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd hear a nail artist say' it didn't smudge as much as I hoped it would'

I like the way you think :D It did seem a little odd typing it too, but when you spray paint a wall, you always get a few drips running down (I imagine lol) xx
DeleteYep, any vertical painting (spray, brush or roller) can drip if the paint is runny to start with or slapped on too thick. It was just too funny to read it concerning nails. <3
DeleteIt was nice to have it happen and not be annoyed by it for once though haha! :) xx
DeleteTotally radical! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun :D x
Deleteoooooh girl - this is wicked cool!!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun, I do love a bit of neon madness :D x
