I started out with a base of Sinful Colors - Cinderella, a lovely pale blue full of glass fleck shimmer. Then I painted 2 stripes on each nail with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Brisk Blue, and gave it some time to dry. Then I added 2 more coats of Cinderella, to blend the stripes together a bit, and 1 coat of La Femme - Fairy Dust to look like sugar. Then when it was all dry, I added a matte top coat to finish. It didn't really resemble the sweets very much when glossy, so I only have matte pictures today.
Overall, I was quite pleased with this mani, it looks pretty much how I imagined it would.
I am really looking forward to the next 2 weeks mani's though - the prompts are getting even harder, and I have painted all but 3 of them now. There are a few that I am really looking forward to posting, some designs I have been meaning to do for ages but never gotten around to, and, as always, a few that looked a bit better in my head :D
What do you guys think of this mani then? Also, what are your favourite sweets? I am partial to literally anything with chocolate or peanuts :D
Don't forget to check out all the other candy-fingered ladies in the thumbnails below!
