Hi guys! Today I am jumping into a challenge that I have been considering for a while, the Tri-Polish Challenge that is run through the facebook group, Crumpet's Nail Tarts. The rules of this challenge are fairly simple: each month there are 3 colours picked, and you have to come up with mani's using those colours. At least 1 mani must contain all 3 colours, and the others must use at least 2 of the 3. You don't have to stick to the same polishes all month, as long as they are the chosen colours for that month.. You can also use black, white, silver, gold, and glitter toppers if you wish.
The colours for March are Green, Blue and Purple. I was planning to join in with this from next week, as I didn't have anything prepared in time, but then I realised I had a mani waiting to be posted that contained all 3 colours! I didn't do this mani specifically for the challenge, but I think my subconscious must have retained this months colours when I painted this. Good brain!
The base for this mani is a gradient of POP Beauty - Radioactive, and Brave, 2 fabulous shimmery neon's I bought years back (although more on that at the weekend). The splats were stamped from MoYou Princess 13 with Laval - Ultra Violet. Then finished off with a matte top coat. All 3 of these polishes dry semi-matte when left to their own devices, so it was a no-brainer that this would look good with it's gloss off :D
This was a really fun mani to wear, one of those ones that you can't help but smile at. I am really digging these colours together too, I think they look awesome, although I do love me a bit of green and purple, so that's no real surprise!
What do you guys think of this? Are you looking forward to the rest of the TPC mani's? I know I am!
Don't forget to check out all the other bloggers participating in this months TPC in the thumbnails below.
Ahh these look faaab! So bright and fun =D
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks hun. They are happy nails for sure :) x
DeleteMe likey! After all the pre-determined color choices of the challenge, I find myself wanting to go nuts with neons, gitds, holos & thermals. Not like I didn't use any of those in the challenge, I just want to go blind from all the day/night glow pow overload. LOL
ReplyDeleteI was gonna say, how is that any different than normal :D I was uber-jealous that my Nightmare Before Christmas Nails didn't glow like yours though, I must get a GITD top coat! xx
DeleteTrue! LMBBO
DeleteYours looked better!
Yes, you do need a gitd tc! Everybody should have a gitd tc!
Too bad the best of the penny pinching brands only have them out near Halloween.
*sad whiskers*
Well, that's a matter of opinion my dear! But anyhoo, guess what I just bought! Oh yeh! Found a BYS one on ebay for £3. It might even be good, I have a few BYS polishes that I'm fond of. fingers crossed :D xxx
DeleteShow & tell time!
DeleteLove it! Those splatters are great! And purpley!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun! So is the word purpley. If I ruled the world EVERYTHING would be purpley :D x
