So, this weeks prompt is red, and I decided to do a red to black gradient. I did one of these a while back for the NAGG challenge, (see it here) but I've been dying to try it again since I made my nails pointy.
I used a different pair of reds than last time - Barry M - Pomegranate Gelly and Crush Matte, with Sinful Colors - Black on Black on the tips. The gradient didn't turn out too smooth today, and I don't know if it was the polishes, me, or the sponge, but I decided to just embrace the choppiness of it and leave it plain. I love how bold and simple this mani is, and my goth brain was really digging them too :)
I'm hoping that the next prompt will be posted a little earlier in the week, but we'll see. I think orange is one of the hardest colours to do nail art with, without it looking like a Halloween mani, (not that I would mind of course), but I'm going to try and do something that isn't a sunset or a pumpkin. No promises though :p
I'll be back tomorrow with some skittles for FingerFood's Theme Buffet, but in the meantime why not check out the other red mani's in the thumbnails below.
