Guest Post: Charlie from Pocket Money Polishes

Hiya lovelies!  As you know, my posting has been mighty sporadic of late, and I haven't really been getting many mani's done behind the scenes either.  So, naturally, a few days ago I managed to lose the photographs for 3 mani's in a spat with my memory card!  Yep.  It's just been that sort of week.  Luckily for me though, when I cried to my wonderful friend Charlie about my lost mani's, she kindly offered to whip up a guest post for me.  Isn't she fab?  So, without further ado, I will hand over to her...........

When Sarah and her memory card had a falling out I couldn't help but feel her pain - there is nothing worse than losing pictures of a mani you have spent so much time and love on. Luckily I had a naked hand and some time so I offered to do a guest post for you today. Whenever I think of this blog I think of bright colours and as nail world seems to be winding down towards autumn I am anxious to cram in some final summer manis. I am a massive lover of "fall" shades but have been embracing the bright and bold this summer.

For this mani I started by painting a base of Barrym Matt White on my ring finger and then one coat of colour on each of my other fingers:

Pinkie: Bondi The Limelight

Middle: Zoya Thandie

Index: OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian

Thumb: OPI I Just Can't Cope-a-canbana

Once my base of white was dry I sponged on a lose gradient of the OPI and the Bondi and blended the colours together using topcoat. I took my inspiration from brightly coloured parakeets and lovebirds.

I added the lovebirds using Konad Special Black Polish and Moyou Tropical 06. All of these colours needed 2 coats and Zoya Thandie could probably do with three for complete coverage if you use thin coats. Everything got a lovely layer of HK Girl Topcoat for extra shine. Pretty straight forward manicure but I just love these cocktail colours and hope you do too. Please come and see what I am up to over on Pocket Money Polishes - there is almost always some kind of manicure mischief to be found.

Wow, what a gorgeous summer combo! I absolutely adore this mani, and I'm so grateful to Charlie for putting this together for me.  I would love it if you guys would go and show her some love over on Pocket Money Polishes.  So, I hope you guys have enjoyed this post as much as me, and I will be back either Tuesday or Wednesday with FingerFood's Theme Buffet mani for this week.  See you then :D
