Saturday Spotlight - Barry M Aquarium Collection - Pacific & Mediterranean

Hi guys!  In this weeks Spotlight post, I am showing you swatches of the 2 Barry M Aquarium Nail Paints that I picked up last week.  These are the 2 I used in my beach nail art a couple of days ago, Pacific, and Mediterranean.

First up is Pacific, a foil duochrome that starts off as a light green, shifting through aqua and blue to a deep Cobalt.  The swatches show 3 coats with top coat, and no undies.  I have seen swatches of 1 coat over black where the shift was not really there, but I promise you, it is :)

It applies a bit brush-strokey at first, but dries down a lot better.  It's not completely dry in these photos, but the strokes had already begun to disappear.  They didn't go 100%, but were not very noticeable at all.

I really like this polish. The colour shift is quite a gradual thing, but I adore the colours at every stage so I don't mind that.  It really is like a gorgeous ocean.

And now, on to Mediterranean, which is a truly incredible pink/red, copper and gold, glass-fleck duochrome.  These swatches are also 3 coats with top coat, and no undies.  I have seen a little flash of purple on other people's swatches that are 1 coat over black, but you don't see that here.  I do think that the colours are a lot, lot, lot more vivid without layering them though, the colours in this swatch are just amazing!

Look at that copper/gold!  It actually was that bright and vivid in real life too, it's honestly like they have managed to bottle a sunset :D

I totally adore the pink shade here, and I love this polish so much more than I was expecting to.  In my opinion, this is a true masterpiece of a polish.  As you can probably tell from the photos, this has a really good foil finish.  It's crazy shiny, and there are no brushstrokes to be seen. 

I could honestly sit here and gush about this for ages, but I won't.  I will have to try this over black at some point though, as from what I can tell, it is a very different polish depending on choice of undies.  Kind of like a really clingy dress :D

I am so much in love with these polishes, and have realised since swatching them that I absolutely do need Arabian, and maybe Mermaid as well!
I think Barry M knocked it out the park with these, but what about you guys?  Are you loving these 2 polishes or not so much?
