52 Week Pick 'n' Mix Challenge - 70's

Hiya lovelies!  Today I have my mani for this weeks 52 Week Pick 'n' Mix Challenge.  The prompts for this week are 70's, and Grey + Colour.  I decided to just pick the 70's part, so I could do a red and black punk mani.  I know that some people associate punk more with the 80's than the 70's, but I like to think my mani is a celebration of the birth of punk, and therefore still very much in the 70's :p

Hi again lovelies!  So, here is the second prompt of the Colour me Crazy challenge that I missed - Neon.  You guys have probably noticed already that I LOVE using neon nail polish, so I had to put something together for this prompt.......

One-Stroke Flowers

Hi guys, today I have some nail art to show you that I'm was really pleased with.  After months of drooling over Charlotte @ SoYou Beauty's amazing one-stroke mani's, I finally decided to give it another go a couple of nights ago.  I tried once before, well over a year ago, but it was a complete disaster.....

Hellooo again! As promised, here is the other version of the sheer tint sparkly stained glass mani I posted earlier, along with a full tutorial.  This is my first design tutorial, so I'd love to know what you guys think of it :)  *Warning - pic heavy post

DIY Sheer Tints Review and Nail Art

Hi guys, you may remember a couple of weeks ago, I reviewed the OPI Sheer Tints (here), and in that post I said I was going to have a go at making my own.  Well, I did, 5 of them in fact, so lets see how they came out.
*Warning, this is a picture and word heavy post.

#33DC - Day 32 - shapes

Hi guys, I'm back for Day 32 of the #33DC, and I'm very sad that it's ending.  I may jump into a Christmas challenge after this though, so that will be cool.  The prompt for today is Shapes and I chose to go with this simple heart doodle design.

#33DC - Day 28 - Lines

Hi guys, sorry today's post is a little bit late, but I'm back with Day 28 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is lines.  This is another mani I have had planned out in my head for ages, but when it came time to actually sit down and do it, I had a different idea that I liked more.

#33DC - Day 27 - a mani with 3 patterns

Hi guys, I'm back today with Day 27 of the #33DC, and the prompt for today is a mani with 3 patterns.  I think this was a hard prompt to be honest.  You want some continuity between each nail, but you don't want it to look too busy at the same time.  I actually did this mani in totally different colours at first, but I wasn't very keen on it, so I decided to try again last night with a simpler colour scheme.   I'm glad I did, as I much prefer this version, but I do have photos of both in this post : )

#33DC - Day 26 - something from pinterest

Hi guys, I'm back today with Day 26 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is something from pinterest/your inspiration board.  This was a tricky one for me, because up until a few weeks ago I didn't have one : D  I ended up choosing to do a (very) simplified version of this AMAZING mani by Robin Moses.  I'm gonna be honest here, and say I am so not happy with this mani.  If you want to know why then meet me after the jump!

#33DC - Day 21 - Europe (Black Sand Beach, Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland)

Hiya guys!  I'm back for Day 21 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is Europe.  I was unsure on what I wanted to do for this prompt for ages, but once I got this idea in my head I was determined to see it through.

#33DC - Day 19 - Follow someone's tutorial

Hi guys, I'm back today with Day 19 of the #33DC, and the prompt for today is to follow someone else's tutorial.  I have wanted to try out this tutorial from The Nailasaurus for ages now, so when I saw this prompt I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Nails Inspire - Nail Art with Strawberry Jellie

Hello again gorgeous people!  I'm back with my third and final post of the day, and this is the nail art I did over Nails Inspire - Strawberry Jellie.  I was going to do a jelly sandwich with this, but after trying it over the thumb nail, the blue shimmer took over the design completely.  Luckily, I took some pictures before hand, as I thought it may turn out that way.  (Not that I'm complaining, that's why I love it!)

#33DC - Day 16 - South America

Hi guys and girls.  I'm back today for Day 16 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is South America.  I was totally stumped on this prompt for ages, and I ended up asking the rest of the Crumpets Nail Tarts on facebook to help me out with inspiration.  I had so many great suggestions from loads of ladies which I'm truly grateful for, they were all amazing.  However, as is usually the way for me, I promptly had my own idea after asking for help!  I know you may all be wondering exactly how this mani is related to South America, and I promise I'll explain after the jump!

#33DC - Day 13 - Chinese

Hi guys and girls.  I'm back for Day 13 of the ~33DC and the prompt for today is Chinese.  My mani was inspired by the stunning East Lake Cherry Blossom Park in Wuhan City, China.  If you haven't seen it, do a google image search for it - it is really beautiful there.

#33DC - Day 12 - Pattern from your home.

Hi lovely people!  Welcome to Friday.  I'm back for Day 12 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is a pattern from your home.  I don't really have patterns in my home, but I knew as soon as I saw this prompt that I wanted to base my mani on my bedding.

#33DC - Day 10 - Flowers

Hi guys, did you have a good weekend?  I'm back today with Day 10 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is flowers.  First, I would like to apologise for the grainy-ness of my photo's today.  I was fiddling around with my camera settings without really knowing what I was doing! (As you do)   I appear to have fixed it now, but not before taking this mani off : ( Hopefully, it's not too bad for you guys to look at.

#33DC - Day 8 - Chevrons

Hi guys!  I'm back for Day 8 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is Chevrons.  This is another style of nail art that I haven't attempted before, so once again, I decided to keep it simple. I love that this challenge is pushing me to try new things, it's one of the reasons I wanted to participate, and I've liked a lot of the mani's that have come out of it too!

#33DC - Day 7 - Art featuring your oldest untried.

Hi lovely people.  Today is Day 7 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is art with your oldest untried.  As crappy luck would have it, my oldest untried was a sheer wash of nothing for french mani's.  It's by Revlon and it's called barely peach.  I have never done a french mani on myself, I used to get pink and white acrylics at the salon for years, so have no interest in having them again.  On a sidenote, I was paying £10 more a set for "UV Gel" nails, but was being ripped off by the salon who were still using acrylic!  They just grabbed a different pot, and told me it was gel.  The nerve of some people eh!   Anyway, I digress.................................

#33DC - Day 4 - Tribal

Hey everyone.  I'm back for Day 4 of the #33DC and the prompt for today is tribal.  I'm going to start by saying I'm not keen on tribal nails, which is why I have never attempted them before this. I respect people who can do them well, but I just don't like them on me.  Luckily for me, I've seen a few other people already today who have said pretty much the same thing, so at least I'm not alone!
